How it works

  1. Open the Social / OG card preset.
  2. Drop a photo or design export (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF).
  3. Download the 1200×630 JPEG and point your og:image (and Twitter card) at that file.

The preset center-crops to the 1.91:1 aspect used by large link cards, scales to exact 1200×630 pixels, and encodes JPEG at quality 0.82. Dimensions stay locked — no accidental further downscale from target-KB mode.

Why these settings

Platforms crop aggressively when your image is the wrong aspect. Starting from a true 1200×630 JPEG avoids letterboxing surprises on X, Facebook, and LinkedIn. JPEG remains the most compatible format for social crawlers that still mishandle newer codecs.

Frequently asked questions

What size should an Open Graph image be?

The common large-card size is 1200×630 pixels. SnapShrink’s Social / OG preset exports exactly that size.

How does the OG preset crop my photo?

It center-crops to the 1200×630 aspect ratio, then scales to exact pixels and encodes JPEG at quality 0.82.

Is my OG artwork uploaded?

No. Cropping and encoding run in your browser. See the privacy policy.

Can I keep EXIF on the exported card?

By default SnapShrink removes photo metadata. Turn off Remove photo metadata if you need to keep EXIF on JPEG output.
