Privacy Policy

The short version: your images never leave your device. SnapShrink compresses everything inside your browser. We have no servers that receive files and no accounts.

What we collect

We do not run our own analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. There is no signup, no login, and no contact form that stores your details.

Our CDN (Cloudflare) may load a cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon for aggregate traffic metrics. That beacon does not receive your images or file contents — compression still happens only in your browser. We do not use it to identify you across sites.

Your files

Every image you drop into the tool is processed locally using your browser's own image decoding and canvas encoding, inside a background worker thread. Files are read with the File API and written back as downloads — they are never transmitted anywhere. You can verify this yourself:

1. Open DevTools (F12) → Network tab.
2. Compress a batch of images.
3. Filter by method:POST. You will see zero file uploads.

The only network request SnapShrink ever initiates on your behalf is the one you trigger by clicking the checkout link to buy a license.

What is stored in your browser

Three small values in localStorage, all on your device only:

• ss_license_v2 — your license key, if you purchased one.
• ss_pro — whether the paid features are unlocked.
• ss_theme — your light/dark theme preference.

Clearing your browser's site data removes all of them. Nothing is synced anywhere.

Cookies

We set no cookies.

Payments

License purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our payment provider. When you click "Buy", you leave this site and complete payment on theirs — their privacy policy applies to that transaction. We receive your email address solely so we can send you your license key.
